Campus Advisory #8 | PCOR1, campus closed to the public, start of classes delayed to 8/26
In the latest Executive Order (EO 2020-27), Governor Leon Guerrero has moved the island back to PCOR1 beginning at 12:01am, Sunday, August 16, 2020.
During PCOR1, the UOG Campus will be closed to the public but will remain open and will operate in a limited capacity. Non-essential in-person customer service functions will be suspended. Per EO 2020-27, all UOG employees are on regular work status, working remotely, and are expected to report for duty on campus within two (2) hours of receiving notice from their supervisor.
Only employees performing essential duties in response to the pandemic emergency will be working on campus. This includes essential employees or contractors needed to conduct basic operations, including operations necessary to facilitate alternative modes of instruction, such as distributing materials and equipment, or performing other necessary in-person administrative or maintenance functions.
Administrators and supervisors shall implement flexible work schedules based on remote
work, to the greatest extent possible. Deans and other administrators will work with
faculty and other employees needing access to campus facilities to carry out essential
functions, including teaching. For the purpose of supporting online instruction, faculty
are authorized to access their office for technology or connectivity.
The semester will begin as scheduled, but the start of classes has been delayed until
August 26. ALL classes will be held online to begin the semester. Faculty will contact
students to provide more information about classes.
Working to contain the virus is the key to our being able to re-open the campus and the economy. This is why it is imperative that we continue to follow the safety and health procedures outlined below.
Situations and information continue to be dynamic and can change rapidly. For campus advisories and updates, please monitor your Triton and GoTritons email accounts and check www.uog.edu/covid-19.
