Master’s students with an interest in suicide prevention are encouraged to apply for the Focus on Life Suicide Prevention Fellowship, a $3,000 per semester fellowship for up to four semesters funded by the Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center’s “Focus on Life” Youth Suicide Prevention Grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

This fellowship is intended to engage UOG graduate students in research addressing suicide and suicide prevention in Guam and the Micronesian region. Students studying in the Master of Arts in Micronesian Studies, Master of Arts in Counseling, and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology programs are especially encouraged to apply.

Three fellowships will be awarded — totaling up to $12,000 over two years for three students.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, 2020.
