Women's Soccer signs Southern's Anisa Topasna
The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team signed Anisa Topasna to play soccer for the Lady Tritons in 2019-2020 academic year. Topasna signed a UOG Athletic Letter of Intent and partial tuition scholarship.
Topasna played at Southern High School, where she was 1st Team All-Island as a goalkeeper in 2017-2018 and Honorable Mention in 2016-2017. Southern finished runner-up in 2015-2016.
She won the Golden Glove Award for allowing the fewest goals for the season in the Guam Football Association's Bud Light Premier League. She played for the NAPA Lady Rovers in the league. She also previously played for the Guam Shipyard Women's Team, which finished second in 2018.
Academically, Topasna was in the Top 5 in 2018 at Southern High School and was the Dolphin Award Winner. She has earned a Merit Scholarship and was a Shieh Scholar Award Finalist in 2018. She is now on the UOG Dean's List.
The Lady Tritons are planning on joining the the GFA Premier League in 2019-2020.
