Two scholarships now accepting applicants
Two scholarship opportunities are now available for University of Guam students through the UOG Financial Aid Office.
One is the Herminia Dierking Scholarship from the Association of Government Accountants Guam Chapter. The chapter will award two $1,500 scholarships to undergraduate students who exhibit academic excellence in the majors of accounting, business administration, finance and economics, or public administration. Applicants must be full-time (taking at least 12 credits) juniors or seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 as of last May. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 30, and recipients will selected on or before Oct. 18.
The second is the Asian American & Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship. The awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $5,000 awards. Applicants must be undergraduate students of Asian or Pacific Islander ethnicity who will be full-time in the Fañomnåkan 2020 semester. They must have applied for federal financial aid through FAFSA. Applications are due at 8 a.m. ChST on Nov. 7, 2019, and recipients will be notified of their selection in December.
