The nursing program in the School of Health received a $100,000 donation from TakeCare Insurance Co. on Oct. 24 at the company’s headquarters in Tamuning. The company has made donations to the school annually as part of a multi-year partnership that will conclude in 2020.

The TakeCare donation has funded program initiatives, an online exam review course, and faculty training that led to a 100% nursing licensure exam pass rate of Bachelor of Nursing graduates. It has also allowed for the students to engage in clinical mentorships at Guam Memorial Hospital and to travel to the National Institutes of Health in Washington, D.C., for hands-on training and job shadowing. Additionally, the funds have been used to purchase instructional supplies.
