Quan played basketball for the Canyons at Somerset Academy in Palm Beach, Fla., where he was named the Most Valuable Player and scored 1,000 points in his high school career.

He was named Player of the Week in his local newspaper multiple times during his career at Somerset.

He also played in the South Florida High School Basketball All-Star Game.

He was named to the honor roll at Somerset Academy as well.
