UOG Lady Tritons defeat Lady Bombers 6-1Page Title

The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team defeated the Lady Bombers 6-1 in a Guam Football Association Bud Light Amateur Women's League match on March 10 at the GFA National Training Center.

The Lady Tritons scored five goals in the first 45 minutes while limiting the Bombers to hardly any shots on the goal.

Both teams scored a goal in the final 10 minutes of the match. The Tritons slowed down in the second half without any subs for the players on the field. Both teams played without subs but had a full team of 11 players on the field. UOG was also short a player in the last 15 minutes due to muscle cramps.

Elisha Benavente scored four goals for the Tritons, and Ariya Cruz added two goals. Both players now lead the GFA Amateur Women's League with 15 goals each for the season.

UOG swept the three-match series with the Lady Bombers with scores of 7-0, 6-0, and 6-1.

UOG is 10-0-1 on the season while the Lady Bombers dropped to 2-9-0. UOG has two weeks off and will play Team Mosas next at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.
