UOG Women's Soccer Defeats Team Mosas 5-0 to go 7-0-0 in League
The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team defeated Team Mosas 5-0 on Jan. 27 at the Guam Football Association's National Training Center. This continues the team's undefeated streak of 7-0-0 in the GFA Amateur Women's League.
The Lady Tritons struck early in the match, scoring their first goal at the 5:30 mark in the first half. UOG scored three more goals in the first half to lead 4-0 at half-time, and the UOG team went on to win 5-0 in the match.
The Lady Tritons were led by the two top scorers in the GFA Amateur League: Ariya Cruz with two goals (12 total goals in the season) and Elisha Benavente with two goals (10 total goals in the season). Mellanne Rasmussen added one goal for UOG.
UOG goes to 7-0-0 for the season, and it plays the Bank of Guam Strykers next at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3 at the GFA National Training Center. The BOG Strykers is the only team to score on the Tritons this season in a game that ended 2-1 the first time the teams played back in November.
