UOG Men's Soccer dominates Islanders 5-0

The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team played its best match of the season on Feb. 15 with a 5-0 victory over the Islanders FC at the Guam Football Association's National Training Center.

The GFA Amateur Men's League match opened with both sides testing each other, but UOG's Dylan Naputi opened the scoring for the Tritons early in the match with a shot from just outside the Islander's box. The Tritons would score again later in the first half and then cap the first half scoring with a penalty kick with just two minutes left in the half as a UOG player was taken down in the Islander box.

UOG opened the second-half scoring at the 60-minute mark and then finished off the scoring a few minutes later to make the match 5-0.

UOG was led by Ichiyo Kawamata and Ryoga Okada with two goals each while Naputi added the opening goal of the night.

The Tritons are now 7-1-0 on the season while the Islanders fell to 7-2-1.
