The University of Guam Women's Basketball Club, the Lady Tridents, lost 44-97 to the Fuetsa Basketball Club in the Tridents Women's Basketball League 2.5 on March 14 in the UOG Calvo Field House.

The Trident League 2.5 is the rebooted Trident League Season 2, which folded because of too many forfeits. League 2.5 consists of three teams playing a total of five games.

On March 14, the Lady Tridents hung close most of the first half and trailed 22-16 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the UOG team pulled within one point at 22-23 before Fuetsa went on a 10-0 run to end the first half, leading 32-22 at halftime.

Fuetsa outscored the Tridents 65-22 in the second half to win 97-44.

On March 13, Fuetsa defeated Guam Community College 94-41 and with the two wins, Fuetsa will be the No. 1 seed in the league and will play in the Tridents Women's Basketball League 2.5 Championship at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 5, in the UOG Calvo Field House.

The UOG Tridents and Guam Community College will play at 7 p.m. next Wednesday, March 20, in the UOG Calvo Field House for second place in the regular season.

Both teams will play again on Wednesday, April 3, in the No. 2 seed versus No. 3 seed playoff game. The winner of that game advances to play Fuetsa BC for the championship.
