Senior art exhibit opens this week at UOG’s Isla Center for the Arts
“Connections,” the senior exhibition for fine arts and art majors at the University of Guam, will open to the public this Thursday. The exhibit, titled “Connections,” will have its opening reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Isla Center for the Arts, House #15 in the Dean’s Circle on the UOG campus. It will remain open from May 2–June 21.
A project of UOG’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, “Connections” features works of art in the themes of nature, human figures, and culture. The exhibit features 15 students — the largest number ever featured in a senior exhibition — whose artwork includes prints, acrylic and watercolor paintings, ceramic sculptures, and illustrations.
Food and wine will be served at the opening reception, and undergraduate students will also be doing live paintings.
The gallery’s hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, excluding holidays. The exhibit is free of charge, but donations are greatly appreciated.
