UOG Men's Soccer opens season with 11-2 win
The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team pounded the Pago Bay Disasters 11-2 on Jan. 17, 2019, at the Guam Football Association's National Training Center in a GFA Amateur Men's League match.
The Disasters were playing with only eight players in the match, and the Tritons took advantage early and often. UOG scored its first goal at the three-minute mark of the match and had five goals by the 25-minute mark, ultimately leading 7-0 at halftime. UOG outscored Pago Bay 4-2 in the second half to win the match 11-2.
Jeffrey Ho and Hezekiah Cruz led the Tritons with three goals each while Shashi Kotwal, Dylan Naputi, Reniel Relucio, James Yang, and Jordan Rosario each scored one goal for the UOG Tritons.
UOG is now 3-1-0 on the season while Pago Bay fell to 0-5-0. The Tritons play next at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, against the Guam Shipyard team at the GFA National Training Center.
