IT Announcement | Updated Email Policy
On September 1, 2019, automatic email forwarding will be disabled in UOG's email system. This option previously allowed users to automatically forward official university email to an outside email services such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.
After September 1st, email users can manually forward a message with their email client software or Outlook Web Service to any outside email service.
By disabling automatic email forwarding, we are preventing malicious emails from permeating the campus network and providing better security for our campus operations.
Please see the attached memo from the Vice President of Administration & Finance regarding the updated email policy.
