Bautista signs with UOG Basketball
The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team signed Dale Bautista from Okkodo High School to a UOG Athletic Letter of Intent and partial tuition scholarship to play basketball for the Tritons in 2019-20.
The 5'6" guard was second team All-Island in 2018-19 for the Bulldogs and was captain of the team in 2017-18 and 2018-19. He averaged 17 points a game and 11 rebounds.
The Okkodo squad made the final four of the IIAAG playoffs in 2018-19.
He was president of the Okkodo Basketball Club as well.
Bautista played club basketball in international competition in Bali in the first International Basketball Foundation "Youth Leadership Cup" and in the Philippines in the "Dreamers International Basketball Challenge."
The UOG Tritons were 5-18 in 2018-19 but are reloading their roster for 2019-20 to be more competitive against the top basketball teams on the island.
