Athletics Hall of Fame members to be honored with "Wall of Fame"
The University of Guam Triton Athletics Department will honor the first two classes of its Athletics Hall of Fame at the opening of a new "Wall of Fame" at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the UOG Calvo Field House lobby.
"The Wall of Fame will be the centerpiece of the Field House lobby and will draw attention to some of the greatest athletes that have been Tritons over the years," said UOG Athletics Director Doug Palmer. "We hope to have a Hall of Fame room in the future as part of the Field House, but we hope the Wall of Fame will serve as a substitute until the Hall of Fame room can be built."
UOG President Dr. Thomas W. Krise will open the ceremony with welcoming remarks followed by speeches from two members of the Hall of Fame and remarks from Palmer. The Wall of Fame will then be unveiled and a reception will follow.
The wall will be updated each year after the Athletics Hall of Fame induction in the fanuchånan semester.
The ceremony is open to the public.
