Ariya Cruz returns To Lady Tritons Soccer
The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team signed Ariya Cruz to an Athletic Letter of Intent and partial tuition scholarship for the 2019-2020 season.
Cruz is a third-year player for the Lady Tritons and has been the Most Valuable Player for the team the past two seasons. She is the second leading goal scorer for UOG in that time.
She played at Okkodo High School, where she was a 1st Team All-Island selection and captain of the Bulldogs. She also played on several Guam National Youth Teams at several different age groups and was a member of the Lady Crushers and won a GFA Division I Championship in the spring of 2017.
The Lady Tritons have won two D2 Championships in the Guam Football Association and finished second in the GFA Amateur League in 2018-2019 with Cruz playing a big part in the team's success.
There will be another women's soccer tryout at 4 p.m. on Aug. 21 and 22 at the UOG Soccer Field. The Lady Tritons have room for another five to six players on the squad.
