The University of Guam Varsity Women's Volleyball Team made short work of the UOG
Recreation Department Volleyball Club Team, the Tridents, on Sept. 17 at the UOG Calvo
Field House in a Guam Women's College Volleyball League match, as the Tritons won
3-0, 24-14, 25-12, and 25-13.
In the best match of the night, the Guam Community College team defeated Pacific Islands
University 3-2 by the scores of 25-18, 16-25, 25-21, 12-25, and 15-11. PIU brought
with them a loud group of fans and alumni for the match as the Tide made a battle
out of it with GCC.
Both the UOG Tritons and GCC moved to 2-0 in the young season while the UOG Tridents
and PIU fell to 0-2.
The Tritons and GCC play at 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 20 for the league lead, and PIU and
