The University of Guam Women’s Soccer Team signed Okkodu High School’s Alexandra Deleon Guerrero to a UOG Athletic Letter of Intent and partial tuition scholarship to play soccer for the Lady Tritons in 2018-19.
The Tritons plan to move up to the Guam Football Association's Division I Women’s League in the Fall of 2018 after playing two 2 seasons in the GFA W2 League and winning both times the Tritons played. UOG did not field a team in the spring of 2018.
Guerrero was an honor student at Okkodo and played goalkeeper/defender for the girls’ soccer team. She showed leadership as the co-captain of several Bulldog teams over her career at Okkodo which includes multiple championships at the JV level and Island runners-up at the high school division. Alexandra played basketball, soccer and rugby for the Bulldogs.
The Lady Tritons will begin practice in August and begin play in September or early October.
