The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team survived a close game with the UOG Recreation Department Trident Men's Basketball
Club team on Monday night 58-49 at the UOG Calvo Field House in the Guam Men's College

The short handed Tritons found it hard to score on Monday night in a close battle
with the Trident MBC but the usually high scoring Tridents were held in check by the
tough UOG Triton defense as well.
The Tritons were up only by 3 points at half, 30-27 over the Tridents and the game
was nip and tuck all the way through to final 2 minutes of the game, when the Tritons
were able to get a little breathing room and win by 9 points.
UOG's Geno Anderson was a dominant force in the game leading the Tritons to victory
with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Ryan Nanguata led UOG in scoring with 22 points. Anthony
Castro was the only other Triton in double figures with 10 points. Jude Martines led
the Tridents with 17 points while Elias David added 12 points and 14 rebounds.
