UOG Men's Soccer Opens Spring Half of Season With Sluggish 5-3 Victory
It wasn't pretty, but it was a win as the University of Guam Men's Soccer Team defeated Shipyard Haya 5-3 on Sunday night at the Guam Football Association's Budweiser
Premier League at the GFA National Training Center.
UOG started the night out in good fashion, scoring two early goals, but the Tritons
loss their momentum and their speed as the first half came to a close and Shipyard
Haya scored two goals toward the end of the first 45 minutes to tie the match going
into half-time.
UOG scored again in the early going of the 2nd half, but Shipyard Haya came back to
tie the match at 3-3 just a few minutes later. The Tritons finally sealed the victory
by scoring two late goals to win 5-3.
Dylan Naputi led the UOG squad with 2 goals, while Joseph Quan, Dominic Gadad and
Jacque Diambra added one goal each.
UOG goes 7-0-0 on the season as they lead the GFA Budweiser Premier League. while
Shipyard Haya drops to 1-6-1. The Tritons return to the pitch on Friday night at 7:00
p.m. against the Sidekicks SC.
