UOG Men's Soccer Defeats FC Beercelona 4-0 In Premier League
The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team defeated FC Berrcelona 4-0 at the Guam Football Association's National Training Center
in the GFA Budweiser Premier League on Wednesday night.
The Tritons and Beercelona started the match slow with neither team finding a rhythm
early as the first 30 minutes was scoreless. UOG was awarded a penalty kick late in
first half on a take down in the Beercelona box. Jacques Diambra scored the penalty
kick and UOG went into half-time with a 1-0 lead.
UOG came out in the 2nd period with an aggressive attack and Beercelona was able to
hold off the attack for first 10 minutes of the 2nd half, the Tritons broke through
and scored 3 goals in a row to go up 4-0 and was able to hold the lead for the rest
of the match.
Jacques Diambra scored his second goal and Sean Evans and Jeff Lezzoie score the other
goals for the Tritons during their scoring blitz on the Beercolna goal.
UOG is now 8-1-1 on the season and will play again on Sunday, February 25th at 5:00
p.m. at the GFA National Training Center against the Andersen Bombers.
