UOG Men's Basketball "MVP For 2017-18 Returns For 2017-18
UOG Men's Basketball "Most Valuable Player" For 2017-18 Returns For 2018-19 - AJ Carlos Returns To Tritons !!!
The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team boosted their roster for 2018-19 by signing their "Most Valuable Player" from 2017-18 to an UOG Athletic Letter of Intent and partial tuition scholarship for the fall and spring of 2018-19.
Andrew (AJ) Carlos, a 5'9" guard, signed to return to the Tritons for his 4th season of competition. Carlos is one of the two remaining original UOG Basketball Players (along with Karlo De Leon) from the team that restarted athletics at UOG in the spring of 2016 when the Tritons helped to start the Guam Basketball Association's league and served as the host site for the league.
Carlos was named both "Best Defense" and "Most Valuable Player" for UOG in 2017-18.
The Tritons were undefeated last season with a 30-0 record and won three different league championships.
Per UOG Coach Brent Tipton at the UOG Student-Athlete Reception, "AJ is always peeling himself off the floor from all of his hustle from playing defense and offense as hard as he can".
The Tritons will return to the court in September to defend their title at the Guam Basketball Challenge at the Andersen Air Force Base "Coral Reef Recreation Center".
