Trident Men’s Basketball Club Evens Record in GMCBL With 105-52 Win
The University of Guam Recreation Department Trident Men’s Basketball Club evened
its record in the Guam Men’s College Basketball League on Friday night with a 105-52
win over Harvest Baptist Bible College in the UOG Calvo Field House.
The Tridents MBC continues to work on a fast paced offense of fast breaks with either
3 point shots or layup attempts. And the Tridents use their large roster of 15 players
to wear down their opponents with the pressure defense and fast moving offense.
The Tridents moved out to an early lead and just kept building open it in the first
half and was up 48-20 after the first 20 minutes. The 2nd half was more of the same
as the Trident’s managed to have 12 players score in the game and break 100 points
for the 2nd straight game.
Devin Sudo led the Tridents with 20 points, 16 of them in the 2nd half. Roland Padlock
scored 16 points for HBBC.
The Tridents are now 2-2 for the first half of the season after starting 0-2. They
play Guam Community College on Saturday, February 10th at 4:00 p.m. The Trident MBC
lost to GCC the first time the two plays, as GCC came out on top 91-80.
Harvest Baptist is now 1-3 in the GMCBL and face league leading UOG Tritons on Saturday
at Noon.
In the other game of the night, the league leading UOG Tritons routed the Pacific
Islands University Tide 144-35.
