UOG Women's Soccer Defeats BOG Strykers 7-1
The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team bounced back from their first loss of the season (3-1 to Team Slay last Sunday) with
a 7-1 domination of the Bank of Guam Strykers in the Guam Football Association Bud
Light D2 Women's League at the GFA National Training Center.
The Lady Tritons scored early and often in this match as Elisha Benavente scored 3
goals for UOG, and Ariya Cruz added 2 goals. Aiyana Shedd and Veronica Dydasco added
one goal each.
UOG outplayed the BOG team all game long, as the Triton speed was too much for the
Strykers. The Lady Tritons broke free of defenders for one-on-ones with the BOG goalie
often in the match.
UOG led 5-0 at half-time and went on to win the match 7-1.
The Tritons are now 2-1-0 in the league and face Team Mosa next Sunday at 5:15 p.m.
to end the regular season and then begin playoffs on Sunday, November 19.
