The University of Guam Fine Arts Theatre Presents Crack(s) November 16-19
The University of Guam proudly presents its Fanuchånan (Fall) semester production
as the Student Directed One Act plays and scenes entitled, Crack(s), at the University of Guam Fine Arts Theatre opening tonight.
Crack(s) is nine separate one-act plays and scenes directed by UOG’s very own theatre majors
and minors in the program. These individual plays all have a commonality: the cracks
in humanity. Every one act showcases the breaking point of a character, relationship,
situation, and even the heart. Some of the cracks in the show include cracks in a
marriage, cracks in the idea of reality, cracks in the concept of cultural identity,
or cracks in societal norms and so much more.
“The cracks within the one-acts represent the unseen flaws we have as human beings
and in society,” said student director Marlo Abrenilla, “whether it be the masks that
we hide behind, the emotions and words left unsaid, or the unseen chains that bind
us making feel lost and alone.”
The show will run from November 16-19, 2017.
