UOG Women's Volleyball Wins By Forfeit In Opening Match of GWCVL Season 2
The University of Guam Women's Volleyball Team, the Tritons, won their opening match of the Guam Women's College Volleyball League by forfeit over the UOG Recreation club team, the "Tridents." The Tridents did not have enough players for the contest. The forfeit will actually be counted as a "Bye" in league standings and the Tritons will play a new team who will join the league by Wednesday to replace UOG Trident VC in the near future.

In the 2nd match of the afternoon, the Guam Community College team won 3-1 over the
Tide of Pacific Island University. PIU won the first set 25-22, but GCC came storming
back to win 3 straight sets, 25-17, 25-20, 25-17.
The league plays again on Wednesday, September 13 as PIU will face the new team at
6:00 p.m. and the Tritons will play GCC at 8:00 p.m. All matches are played at the
UOG Calvo Field House.
