Traditional navigators from the Lamotrek atoll in Yap presented a woven pandanus sail to University of Guam President Dr. Robert Underwood on May 25 at a ceremony celebrating their voyage.

The navigators used the sail on their outrigger canoe named the Lucky Star for the welcoming ceremony of the Festival of Pacific Arts on May 23 as part of a procession of canoes from various Pacific Islands.

Underwood sailed in the Lucky Star as a guest of the Lamotrek delegation in the welcoming ceremony for traditional navigators.

The sail will be on display at the University until August.
