The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team won their opening match of the year 2-0 over the Tsunami on Sunday at the GFA Soccer Complex in an injury shortened game for the Guam Football Association Women's 7 On 7 League.

UOG opened the scoring in the first half with a goal by Shaeina Torres in the later stages of the first period and the Lady Tritons go into half-time with a 1-0 lead. The UOG squad came out strong in the second half and scored a 2nd goal by Aiesha Castro early in the period.

The match was called when the Tsunami goal keeper was injured and could not leave the field until emergency crews arrived at the scene and it became too dark to play.

UOG is 1-0 on the season and their next match has not been set yet by the Guam Football Association.
