UOG Theatre Presents Rashomon
University of Guam Theatre presents Fay and Michael Kanin’s Rashomon, a stage adaption of Akira Kurosawa’s famous film of the same name, beginning September
24.
The play depicts the discovery of a samurai corpse in a forest near 12th century
Kyoto that leads to the conviction of a famous bandit on the charges of rape and murder.
While it seems to be an open and shut case, discrepancies in eyewitness accounts shed
doubt on the “truth.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and showtimes are at 7 p.m. on September 24-26 and October
1-3 at the UOG Fine Arts Theatre.
General admission is $10. Admission for students and senior citizens is $7.50. Admission
is free UOG and GCC students with valid student I.D. or class schedule. Tickets are
available at the box office on show nights.
