University of GuamStudents from Martha Suez-Salas’ Income Taxation class recently prepped a series of presentations as part of a financial literacy activity for Guam high school and middle school students. The presentations, which took place at Okkodo High School and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School, included topics such as what is tax?, how to calculate tax, and more.

“UOG students enjoyed the activity and deepened their learning by answering younger students’ questions and teaching them how to report their income and expenses,” said Suez-Salas. “These presentations were part of the joint program between UOG, the Guam Department of Education, and the Guam Society of Certified Public Accountants to teach financial literacy to school children in Guam.”
