University of Guam criminal justice students recently re-painted and updated a local bus stop in Mangilao.

More than 40 members of the Alpha Phi Sigma criminal justice honor society repainted the fading bus stop in bright blues, greens, and yellows as a sign of its commitment to the island community.

“The bus stop was adopted back in 2010 so we felt we needed to touch it up,” said Alpha Phi Sigma president and senior criminal justice major Leo LLegado.

The bus stop, which is located on Route 15 near the Mangilao Senior Citizens’ Center, was beautified over the course of two Saturdays.
