UOG Stakeholders Meet for Update on Cancer Grant Research Progress
The University of Guam and University of Hawaii Cancer Center (UHCC) recently concluded a three-day Joint Planning and Scientific Workshop as part of their ongoing partnership in cancer research.
The team identified solutions and challenges impeding research efforts. Key individuals also provided progress updates on their U54-funded research.
Last year, UOG won a $4.3M grant award to support its ongoing partnership with UHCC to address cancer health disparities among Pacific Islanders. The partnership began in 2009 after UOG and UHCC were awarded an initial $12.5M grant.
