UOG Sea Grant Pilots Turtle Education Outreach Internship
UOG Sea Grant is currently accepting applications for its Turtle Education Outreach
Internship. Guam Community College and UOG undergraduate students alike are encouraged
to apply for the three-month internship, which includes a $1,000 stipend.
Interns will undergo training on community outreach. They will learn about careers related to science, natural resource management, and the environment through employee shadowing, informational interviewing, or active participation in program activities. Internships conclude with elementary school presentations in early 2017.
The 4-page application can be downloaded here. There is no transcript, resume, or letter of recommendation required as part of
the process.
“We’re really searching for individuals who want to learn," emphasized Sea Grant Assistant
Instructor and internship coordinator Marie Auyong. "To me, what makes this such a
cool internship is how it pulls together office, outdoor, and team-friendly work environments.
Our partners at the Department of Agriculture have been especially collaborative in
developing this opportunity!”
Applications are due November 15, 2016 by 5 p.m.
