University of GuamAuthor explores cat-owner relationship through Japanese tanka poetry.

Dr. Yukiko Inoue-Smith, a professor of Educational Psychology and Research at the University of Guam School of Education announces the release of her new book, CatTanka, Vol. 2: The Story of Goblin and Pumpkin Junior. The book, written in a classic Japanese poetry form called tanka, is published by Union Press.

About the Book
This is the story of two cats. The cats are so young, full of energy, and brimming with curiosity. A couple’s shared realization that they needed cats in their lives allows them to keep a sense of humor as they face the many problems these two cats create, and without losing sight of their affection for the cats. The book contains 419 tanka poems and 24 photos of cats. Interestingly, this book was published on February 23, 2015, exactly two years after the cats were born as if the book were their birthday gift.
