UOG Names Santos Dean of School of Business and Public Administration
After a nationwide and international search, the University of Guam has appointed
Dr. Annette Taijeron Santos as the new Dean of the School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA).
Dr. Santos holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Alliant International University and a Master of Business Administration degree and Psychology degree from the University of Guam. She has served in many leadership capacities such as President of e-Rotary Club of Pago Bay Guam, past President-elect of Soroptimist International of the Marianas, President of Local First, Guam, a member of the Guam Chamber of Commerce Small Business Focus and Development Committee, and 2014 member of the U.S Scholar Delegation to the Republic of China-Taiwan.
Dr. Santos most recently served as Interim Dean for SBPA and has 20 years of combined faculty and administrator experience in higher education. Dr. Santos brings with her expertise in strategic management, a focus on student success, research in entrepreneurial innovations and positive engagement with business, government, community and not-for-profit sectors.
According to Senior Vice President and Acting President Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez, "Dr. Santos' strengths are a culmination of unique intellect and innate passion that are critical to the success of a high producing professional school. She serves as a role model not only for current students and alumni, but also for prospective students. I am excited about her strategic vision as a more permanent member of my cabinet, chartering innovative pursuits that will align well with UOG's engagement and contributions to the public good."
