In his new role, Khosrowpanah will be working towards hiring engineering faculty and developing the curriculum for a full four-year Civil and Environmental Engineering degree program.

“I’m very happy to see that UOG is moving towards creating a four-year engineering degree program which is one of the high priority areas for our region,” Khosrowpanah said.

Currently, UOG has agreements with other higher education institutions such as the University of Iowa and Mapúa Institute of Technology in the Philippineswhere Pre-Engineering students can complete their undergraduate studies.

School of Engineering Annex

Construction on the highly anticipated School of Engineering Annex will begin soon. The annex will be located adjacent to the existing Agriculture and Life Sciences building. The two-story, 16,491-square-foot structure will include three classrooms, four science labs, one computer lab, faculty offices, a conference room, administration areas and a student project room.

“The School of Engineering is a game changer for the island,” said Dr. Robert Underwood, UOG President. “It will not only help meet the increasing demand for local engineering expertise, but it will help keep some of our brightest and highest-performing students here on Guam and contributing to our island’s growth.”
