The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team fell for a 2nd consecutive game on Friday night at the Guam Football Association National Training Center, 3-1 to the Bobcat Rovers in the GFA Men's League (Division II).

The UOG team was missing two starters for the match.

As in the previous loss to the Islanders FC, the Tritons allowed an early goal, and the Rovers scored at the 5 minute mark of the first half. Rovers then added a 2nd goal about 10 minutes later.

But as the match settled in, the UOG squad began to take control of the contest and for the last 20 minutes of the 1st period, completely dominated the pace of the game. Jose Babauta scored to cut the Rovers lead to 2-1 as the match entered half-time.

Both teams started the 2nd half strong, but a late off-sides was called that would turn into the story of the 2nd half, as the Tritons were called for off-sides numerous times in the final 45 minutes. The Bobcat Rovers did manage to score again, and it was clear, the Tritons as the team could not muster a run at the goal for the final 20 minutes.

UOG is now 5-2-0 for the season and play their final match of 2016 on Tuesday night, December 13 at 9:00 p.m. the Tritons still have 12 more matches in the league in 2017. The Bobcat Rovers are now 4-2-1 in the 11 team league.
