The University of Guam started off slow, as Guam Community College led the Tritons 13-4 in the early part of the game, but UOG showed superior depth and conditioning to wear down the GCC squad and take a 45-31 half-time lead.

UOG came out on fire in the second half, out scoring GCC 56-26 in the 2nd period to win the game 101-57.

UOG goes to 1-0 on the season while Guam Community College falls to 0-1. UOG plays next Friday night at 8:00 p.m. against the University of Guam Men's Basketball Club Team, a 68 to 65 loser to Harvest Baptist Bible College in the 2nd game on Saturday afternoon in the UOG Calvo Field House.
