UOG Men's Basketball Loses 68-64 To Justice In GBA League
The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team lost on Thursday night in the Phoenix
Center at Father Duenas Memorial High School to Team Justice 68-64 in the Guam Basketball
Association League. The Tritons got off to a very good start in the game, leading
after the first period 12 to 9 and leading until midway in the 2nd quarter when a
dry spell on the UOG offense allowed Justice to take the lead and go into half-time leading 33-27.
Justice pushed the lead up to 12 points at the end of third period, 56-44 and they held a double digit lead for most of the 4th quarter until a final Triton run fell short 68-64 as the final buzzer sounded.
Andrew Carlos led the Tritons with 19 points, followed by Elias David with 13 and Eric Reyes with 11. Reyes also had 11 rebounds on the night. Reggie Rechebong led Justice with 17 points while Roque Charfarous added 14.
UOG dropped to 0-7 on the season and Justice moved to 4-3. The Tritons have Sunday
off in the GBA League and will play against MVP on Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. at the UOG Calvo Field House. Beginning at 5 p.m. that evening, Triton Athletics will be hosting "Triton Night," to celebrate UOG's Triton athletes and featuring free t-shirts, food and drinks, live
music, half-time games, and prize giveaways including an Apple Watch!
