UOG Men's Basketball Fall to the KFC Bombers 95-46 in Final Game of the Season
The University of Guam Triton Men's Basketball Team dropped its final regular season
game to the KFC Bombers 95 to 46 on Sunday afternoon in the FD Phoenix Center.
UOG played a solid first quarter, trailing only 17-14 after the first period, but the Tritons were held scoreless until less than 4 minutes in the second period. The Bombers built a solid lead and went into half-time ahead 42-24.
The Tritons scoring struggles continued in the second half, while the Bombers extended their lead by nearly 40 points by the end of the contest.
The Bombers big men gave UOG some problems in the paint, outscoring the Tritons 42-20 underneath the basket, gaining the upperhand 21-4 in 2nd chance points and blocking several shots on defense.
David Elias led the Tritons with 15 points, the only double digit scorer on the Triton squad for the game plus Elias had 11 rebounds to lead UOG in that category as well. George Campos had 24 points for the Bombers.
UOG finished the regular season 0-10 and will play against MVP on Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. the FD Phoenix Center in the first round of the GBA Playoffs. The Bombers finished the season 7-3.
