The University of Guam Men's Head Basketball Coach Brent Tipton--also the head coach for the U18 Guam's National Team--took the U18 Guam National Team to a third place finish at the FIBA U18 Oceania Championship in Suva, Fij over the past week.

The Oceania games are a qualifying tournament for the World Championships.

The U18 team went 3-2 in the tournament, with victories over Fiji and Tahiti in Pool Play (with a loss to Australia) and then a victory over New Caledonia in the 3rd place game (loss to New Zealand in semi-finals).
