The University of Guam School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA) proudly announces that the Master of Public Administration Program (MPA) is now a member of the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA).  NASPAA is considered the global standard in public service education.

“This is an exciting time for our MPA program. The program has done much in the last year and I am confident that the community can expect great things in the near future,” said Dr. Annette Taijeron Santos, Interim Dean of SBPA.

Program Chair, Dr. John J. Rivera says that membership is the first step in an effort towards acquiring NASPAA accreditation. “As the times change, the MPA program must continue to meet the demands of excellence required of higher education,” Rivera said.

NASPAA is the recognized global accreditor of graduate education programs in public policy, public affairs, public administration, and public & non-profit management. NASPAA has nearly 300 members schools located across the U.S. and in 14 countries around the globe.  NASPAA's twofold mission is to ensure excellence in education and training for public service and to promote the ideal of public service.

Rivera says that there is no better time than now to be a part of the UOG MPA program. He added, “I encourage interested candidates to explore graduate school at the University of Guam right here at home.”
