If you've driven through the University of Guam campus lately, you may have noticed an illuminated addition near Dean’s Circle. A digital sign dubbed the "Triton Jumbotron" is helping to inform the University community of current campus news.

The Triton Jumbotron was installed in October and replaces printed canvas banners. The LED sign can display an unlimited number of full-color motion graphics.

"The Triton Jumbotron is our first outdoor digital sign on campus," said Jonas Macapinlac, Director of Integrated Marketing Communications.

The new digital sign is part of an initiative by the President’s Office to enhance the student experience through technology.

“It’ll help our campus community to engage and connect with what’s going on at UOG,” said Macapinlac.

A Sign of the Future Macapinlac says that the campus entrance by the Calvo Field House could be a good location for a second Triton Jumbotron. In the meantime, other digital signs have been installed on campus with more to come.

“We have new LED displays at the Calvo Field House in the main arena and in the Triton Fitness Center,” said Macapinlac. “Soon there’ll be digital signs in each building and even way finding kiosks.”
