UOG Communication Students Hosts Panel on Safety Issues

1/5/2018

On September 24, the University of Guam Communication Field Experience (CO355) class will be hosting a panel discussion on Campus Safety Issues. The event will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Room 129 at the School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA) building. Panelists will include Student Government Association (SGA) Vice President Samantha David; UOG Director of Integrated Marketing Communications Jonas Macapinlac; UOG Safety Administrator Felix Mansapit; Chief Planning Officer David Okada; and former SGA president Melissa Quinata.

In the past few months, there have been various concerns and incidents regarding campus safety.  This forum will discuss the issues from the various perspectives, inform the audiences about actions taken by UOG, and identify possible strategies towards making the UOG campus experience safer and more conducive to learning.  A question-and-answer session will follow the panel discussion, when attendees will be able to voice their concerns and offer potential solutions.

Because space is limited, attendees will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. Attending the Campus Safety Forum is free.

The Communication Field Experience (CO355), a course offered at the University of Guam,  gives students hands-on experience in organizing, and planning events.
