University of Guam Men's Basketball Drops 113-40 game to the University of the East
The out-manned UOG Triton Basketball Team battled early and was down at the end of
the first quarter 30-17, but the Tritons could only muster 23 points over the next
3 quarters as UE pulled away for an easy victory, leading 69-24 at half and finished
the game with a 113-40 victory.
Tim Edillor scored 12 points for UOG to be the only to hit for double digits. Jorge
Piolo pulled down 7 rebounds to lead the Tritons in that category. The UOG defense
did have 10 steals but committed 30 turnovers.
UOG is now 0-2 in the round-robin portion of the tournament and face National University
from Manila as well tonight at 6 p.m. in the final game of round robin play.
Semi-Finals are on Friday night, with Championship and Consolation games on Saturday.
