In front of a full house and lively crowd, Master of Public Administration students launched their First Annual Spring Showcase on May 22 held at the University of Guam Fine Arts building.

The event, which featured an evening of singing, dancing, skits, and more, opened with twin emcees Jesse and Anthony Quenga entertaining the audience throughout the production. With the help of family and friends, a collage of fun and meaningful performances ensued, which kept the crowd on the edges of their seats the entire night.

And with students performing various cultural dances and chants from around the region, it was also a demonstration of an MPA learning outcome linked to the institutional learning outcome of cultural appreciation, said Ronald Aguon, Assistant Professor at the School of Business and Public Administration

Because the Public Administration graduate students have sponsored a variety of important events for many years, Aguon said the showcase also served as a celebration of the University and its critical role in helping shape Guam and the Micronesian region.

Aguon gave a special thanks to the event sponsors such as the UOG Endowment Foundation, Calvo’s Select Care Insurance, PALS Club, and the Student Government Association. He also thanked the showcase chair Dondi Quintans; the SBPA faculty, alumni, family and friends; the administrative law class; as well as UOG President Dr. Robert A. Underwood and Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez.
