Islanders FC Speed And Quickness Lead To 5-1 Defeat Of Tritons

The Islanders FC came out with an attack of speed and quickness on Friday night that led to the Tritons first defeat all season in the Guam Football Association Men's League (Division II) match at the GFA National Training Center.

The Islanders scored 3 goals in the first 15 minutes of the match and scored again in the 1st half to lead 4-0 at half time. The Tritons would come back in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half and score on a goal by Will Naden and make it 4-1. But the Islanders answered with another goal to move ahead 5-1, and neither team scored again in the match.

Both the Tritons and the Islanders are 5-1-0 in the league's standings. and should be tied for the lead or at least 2nd place in the 11 team division when all Week 7 matches are played.

The UOG squad returns to action next Friday, December 9, against the Bobcat Rovers at 8:00 p.m. at the GFA National Training Center. The Bobcat Rovers are 3-1-1 in the most recent standings and are 5th place in the league.
