The College of Natural & Applied Sciences cordially invites the public to celebrate the joy of mathematics at the Seventh Mathematics Day at UOG on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Room 101 in the Science Building.

PROGRAM

8:00 – 8:30   Registration

8:30 – 9:00  Opening and Award Ceremony for the Pi Contest winners.

9:00 – 10:00  Careers in Mathematics.  Dr. Leslie Aquino, Associate Professor of Mathematics.

9:00 – 10:00  Sample Placement Test. Concurrent Session for Teachers.

10:00– 10:30 Break and refreshments.

10:30 – 12:00  Math Quiz Competition.  Teams from individual high schools will solve math and statistics problems and trivia questions in front of a live audience.

12:00  Announcement of the winners of Math Quiz Competition and Final Remarks.
