CLASS Donates Goods to GMH, Guma Mami, and Dorm Students
Members of the University of Guam College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences helped bring the Christmas spirit to those in need this holiday season.
In collaboration with its donation partners—the Guam Girl Scouts, the Office of the Attorney General of Guam, Express Financial, and more—CLASS held a six-week drive and donated gift bags to patients in the Guam Memorial Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU), Guma Mami, and the UOG Dormitory students.
The gift bags contained toiletries, transistor radios, and crossword puzzles. With the help of two donors, the Escura family and Elizabeth Cruz, CLASS also decorated and donated two Christmas trees to the SNU while delivery the gift bags on December 2.
The Sociology Club that day presented the SNU with a giant stocking filled with board games while other CLASS volunteers such as the Psychology Club and theater students sang Christmas carols and passed out the gift bags to patients.
