Bad News Barracudas Named UOG's Top Tuggers

The Bad News Barracudas (BNB) pulled away a victory in tug-of-war last Wednesday, going undefeated through the entire tournament to take home the win.

The tug-of-war event was the sixth event in the 4th Annual President’s Cup.

The BNB—made up of team members Nicole Burns, Ashton Williams, Diona Drake, Jessica DeBlieck, Matt Mills, Steven Johnson, Frank Roberto, Matt McLean, Drew Jarrett, and Adrian Kense—matched up against the ROTC Rangers for in the final round, who had just won a hard-fought match against the Artic Panda Monkeys.

In the final round, the BNB took the win by a landslide.

Williams, the team captain, said their strategy was to keep a low center of gravity and never let go of the rope.

“The biggest flaw a lot of the teams had was going hand over hand,” said Jarrett.

The team also gave credit to Mills for being a strong anchor during each match.
